About Us

THE BEGINNING

Tax-O-Legal commenced operations in the year 2005. It has its Head Office at Ahmedabad and branch at Mumbai. In a short span of six years Tax-O-Legal has become a brand in itself and is now a force to be reckoned with in the field of indirect taxation.

WHO WE ARE

Tax-O-Legal is headed by Monish H. Bhalla.

Monish Bhalla, a post graduate of Science, served the Department of Customs and Excise and Service Tax for almost two decades and in the quest to become a part of the SOLUTION rather than the PROBLEM, resigned from Government Service and started Taxolegal for providing legal consultancy in Indirect Taxation. Appreciation from his seniors and his own potential motivated him to take the road less travelled. Monish Bhalla, who is an Expert in Service Tax, is a prolific writer and is a regular columnist with the leading daily newspaper, DNA. The urge of doing something new and different made him an author of a book "Service Tax Clarifications" in the year 2004. Monish Bhalla is also author of "Commentary on Negative List Based Service Tax".

OUR ACHIEVEMENT

Through our constant endeavour to service our clients, we have relieved a number of organisations from their vexed issues concerning Service Tax, Customs & Central Excise matters and have achieved justice for them.

The ladder of success cannot be climbed with hands in one's pockets. So true, Mr. Bhalla's hard work and dedication made him more ambitious and spawned an interactive web portal, www.servicetaxonline.com, a Government Authorized Reporting and Publication Company for all the judgements delivered by the various benches of Hon'ble Customs Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT).
